What can I see

on the Cliffs of Moher Cruise

Once our fast ferries leave from Doolin you will sail towards the Cliffs of Moher with the Aran Islands on your right hand side at all times. You will be able to see the start of the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk upon departure and the height of the cliffs climb slowly the further along the cruise. You will reach the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher about half way at O’Brien’s tower.

Some other amazing things you can see on our Cliffs of Moher Cruise are the large seastack, An Bhreannan Mor. There are almost 30,000 birds nesting at the Cliffs of Moher and various wildlife swimming along side our ferries. On the cruise you may see some seabirds also:

  • Razorbills
  • Guillemots
  • Fulmars
  • Kittiwakes
  • Herring Gulls

The crew will show you the various points of interest such as the Harry Potter Sea Cave that featured in the Harry Potter movie the Half Blood Prince.

Harry Potter Sea Cave
Cliffs of Moher Cruises

Over the years there has been many films that use the Cliffs of Moher for scenes in their movies. One of the most recent and famous scenes is the “Harry Potter Sea Cave” used in the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Fans will know this is the scene where Dumbledore and Harry enter the cave to discover one of the missing “Horcruxes”.

The only way to see the Harry Potter sea cave is by one of our Cliffs of Moher Cruises! So if you’re a fan (or want to make one jealous!) make sure to book when visiting Doolin.
