Taking one of our Cliffs of Moher Cruises is the best way to see the Cliffs of Moher!
Our ferries will take you on a breathtaking cruise from Doolin. We will sail you underneath the 700ft Cliffs of Moher with views of the Aran Islands and Galway Bay to accompany them. The cruise lasts about 50 minutes to 1 hour. Full on board commentary is provided along the way and our trained crew members are there to answer any questions you may have.
Once our fast ferries leave from Doolin you will sail towards the Cliffs of Moher with the Aran Islands on your right hand side at all times. You will be able to see the start of the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk upon departure and the height of the cliffs climb slowly the further along the cruise. You will reach the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher about half way at O’Brien’s tower.
Some other amazing things you can see on our Cliffs of Moher Cruise are the large seastack, An Bhreannan Mor. There are almost 30,000 birds nesting at the Cliffs of Moher and various wildlife swimming along side our ferries. On the cruise you may see some seabirds also:
The crew will show you the various points of interest such as the Harry Potter Sea Cave that featured in the Harry Potter movie the Half Blood Prince.
Although we have the fastest ferries from Doolin to Aran, when it comes to our Cliffs of Moher Cruises we slow down to enjoy the views! We are based on the Wild Atlantic Way so here in Doolin sea and wind conditions may vary cruise times.
The cliffs of moher cruise can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour of complete magic. You can enjoy a trip of a lifetime when coming back from the Aran Islands to Doolin or simply heading our on a cruise! Over the years there has been many films that use the Cliffs of Moher for scenes in their movies. One of the most recent and famous scenes is the “Harry Potter Sea Cave” used in the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Fans will know this is the scene where Dumbledore and Harry enter the cave to discover one of the missing “Horcruxes”.
The only way to see the Harry Potter sea cave is by one of our Cliffs of Moher Cruises! So if you’re a fan (or want to make one jealous!) make sure to book when visiting Doolin.
